Future of Flex - Questions for Adobe

How can Adobe restore the confidence lost last month?
If Adobe has changed its mind so rapidly about the best technology for RIA development (from Flex in September, to HTML5 in November) how can Adobe restore confidence in Flex as a good technology choice.

Can there really be a "future of Flex" since Adobe controls both ActionScript and both Flash and AIR runtimes?
Outside of the Falcon JS experiment, Flex only supports Flash & AIR, both controlled by Adobe. If at any point, Adobe drops those, what is the purpose of Flex? I would love to see people get involved with Spoon (me included), but seems like its future hangs on the whims of a corporation and not really controlled by the open source community.

If flash is no longer supported for mobile web, why would people use one technology for desktop and another for mobile web?
Spoon project should collaborate and create a tool to export flash project to HTML5 coz otherwise the future of flex developer for desktop web is in dark

Human resources for FLEX?
How many Adobe engineers will be working for the benefit of FLEX (SDK, compilers, tooling, runtimes, documentation, evangelism etc) after the transfer to the ASF.
Does the open source project, as of today, have any enterprise pledges to contribute to the open source effort, besides Adobe?
How many community members have flagged an interest to contribute to the open source effort?

How is the Flex SDK protected by changes by the runtime vendor?
Since Flex is wholly dependent upon the Flash runtime, how is the Flex SDK as a OSS project protected against changes by the runtime vendor that may break the existing framework implementations or future SDK versions? Is there a guarantee of any sort that Adobe's work on Flash must not break Flex?

Is a target of Spoon Project develop a tool to integrate or export Flex Framework compilation swith new standards, like HTML5?
Flex Framework is amazing software platform to do more things in less time (the efficience depends of developers).
If HTML5 and others are the "new standards", how can Spoon members will intervene?, How can do independence of Flash Player? The mobile platform could be the major evolution for the IT technologies and Flex Framework must not die or to depends of a plugin.
The clients are with the idea of HTML5 is better than Flash Player, without controversies, how can do a crossover platform?

What is Adobes HTML 5 strategy?
New HTML 5 tools (E.g. Edge)? Old tools with new HTML 5 features (E.g. Flash with Canvas export)?
New HTML 5 features/frameworks (E.g. CSS Shaders, web Typography ...)? Porting existing technologies to HTML 5 (E.g. Flex cross compilation)?
What I really would like to know is this: Will Adobe continue to leverage its current stack or is this the start of a new stack? If it is a new build on top of the old one I will sit tight, knowing that I probably will be able to leverage my skills when Adobes HTML 5 strategy finally enters the stage?…

Flash catalyst?
Will Flash Catalyst survive as a tool? I hope it does. With support for dynamic skin parts we could have a a killer workflow from design to app.

How much is the @flashcatalyst source code?
Since Adobe plans not continuing Flash Catalyst CSx I wonder how much the source code is? Flex needs an interaction design tool like Flash Catalyst which supports the Designer/Developer Contract introduced with CS5.5 and Flex 4.x

How can we make skin components of Flex 4.x without Catalyst and design view?
The architecture of Flex4 needs a tool for designs definitely. How does Adobe solve this issue?

How can Adobe migrate to HTML5 from Flex?, I suggest a support for publish in HTML5 Canvas all the components.
So, if the developers can do software in AS3 with Flex Framework and publish it in HTML5 Canvas then the target for all mobile platforms are cover it

How will this changes at Adobe affect the Open Screen Project?
One of the core concepts behind the OSP is the idea of "establishing a consistent runtime environment." Flex really seemed to be the resource to use to make this possible. With the future of Flex in doubt, how will this affect the Open Screen Project?

How many bugs are documented for the Flex SDK?
Will there be a transfer of bugs from Adobe's Jira into what ever bug system the Apache Foundation uses?

When can we expect Workers API and new (faster) JIT for FlashPlayer?
New JIT - something that they mentioned on the MAX 2011 Flash/Flex Road Map.

Why are people interested in Flex to HTML5 tools? It's not a good idea.
If you want an HTML5/JS app, write it with HTML5/JS! I'm not trying to dump on tools like Jangaroo, which can be very useful to convert projects.
